You can get easier steering with the tapered roller, and the problem you can experience is fatigue from cycling back and forth. This over time can cause cracks in the bearing and eventually bearing failure where the bearing brakes apart. You see this on the net with images of knuckles with destroyed bearings. The bronze bearing maintains it's strength and structure over time, making it a better choice on vehicles that are used a lot on and off road. So depending your use of the vehicle, make your decision accordingly.
