Vaughn: Warning moving the bolt hole higher on the peddle will reduct the throw on the push rod. I would check to see if you have full throw after the modification. If not you may not have sufficient braking power.

I fought the same issue on my carryall when I changed to a hydroboost. The hydro boost itself wasn't too bad the the clutch was a real pain as the peddles (ie Pushrods) are quite close together. The original master cylinder had one reservoir for front and back brakes plus the clutch. Talk about asking for trouble.

My first clutch system kept blowing the clutch slave cylinder even though they were a matched set. After 3 slave cylinders I trashed that system. I ended up using a Chevy truck slave cylinder that bolted right up to the bell housing (Chevy truck) and used a 1956 Chevy car brake master cylinder for the clutch master cylinder. It has worked perfectly for over 10 years. It was simply a challenge to get it all installed.

The owner before me swapped in a Chevy 327 and its bell housing along with the hanging peddles. The peddles were the key to the design of the system I new have.
