My WC-53 Carryall had stock springs. The trip to Labrador and home was not comfortable due to the suspension. I searched many spring companies looking for someone to DESIGN new rear springs rated for 750 lbs and giving a ride somewhat equal to a Suburban. No one would touch the job.
I finally talked with Betts Spring in San Leandro, Ca. Their quick answer was sure we can do it.
They sent me a question form to fill out with the tech info. A couple phone calls for more info. Total time start to finish was a little less that 3 weeks. The new designed spring fit in like a glove. The ride was great on and off road. I would say equal to a Suburban. I do not remember the cost as it was back in 2005, but tt was reasonable for the tremendous ride change.
