On my 251 there was one bolt at about 7 o'clock that came from inside the oilpan into a threaded hole in the plate. On the 265 I'm swapping in, from a Chrysler car, the existing car plate has this same threaded hole but no bolt in it. When I put the 251 truck plate onto the 265, do I need to put that backside bolt in, i.e. drop the pan to get to it with my ground down box-end wrench, or am I OK to leave that bolt off?
