Good morning from Africa, Karl! You are absolutely correct on the confusion of how some pieces go together! I will not go into a lot of written detail of how they work, but I will, however, offer what has helped me immensely!

I will check the internet for "restored Dodge Power Wagon" and will always come across an individual selling their perfect WM300. I then copy/save EVERY picture of their beautiful truck. I have dozens of folders with each component that shows the smallest details.

Short of that, I find a friend in my local area who may have one, and I look at their truck as a model of how mine should look.

3rd option? I buy the same exact model as a spare and drive/examine that one while I'm rebuilding the rustbucket. When disassembling, I take pictures of the disassembly.

Thankfully, the flat fenders are relatively easy to mount, just cumbersome. The running boards should be loosely mounted to the wood/metal supports, which are then loosely mounted to the frame. Once your holes line up, the bolts can all then be secured down.

In closing- if you have the time, steal them internet pictures, lol!
