My radiator isn't vertical; it leans slightly to the rear. The radiator as originally built wasn't vertical either; it was roughly perpendicular to the engine which is tilted down at the rear. As for lining up the radiator neck with the hole in the shell, that took some careful measurement and calculation when I built the stand-offs to accommodate the reconfigured radiator.
