Routing of Wiring harness

I�m at the point of building the wiring harness for my �51 B-3-PW FFPW. There was incredibly little of the original harness left when I started the rebuild but I can figure out the routing of most of the harness. The portion that I can�t figure out is the left front where it passes by the battery.
My question is: how did the factory rout the harness near the battery; between battery and splash shield, around engine side of battery, over top of battery, underneath, or some other way?
