5/64 is correct.
From the 1960 Dodge Truck Service Manual:
Check the float level as follows:
Place a .050 inch feeler gauge between the float arm lip and the needle valve pin. Press the lip against the gauge and pin until the spring is fully compressed. Hold in this position. Using a scale, or tool T109-50 measure the distance from the top of the float to the tip of the main body.
The measurement should be 5/64 inch.
To adjust, bend the float arm lip until correct setting has been obtained.
