Years ago, when my grandfather first got the truck that I now have (a 47 WDX), it had a flat bed on it and the fuel tank was mounted outside the frame on the drivers side right behind the cab. Now that I have the truck, I've replaced the flat bed with an original first series pick-up bed and relocated the fuel tank back to the rear between the frame rails. Robert
