Regarding the other stuff, hard to say. Having sat on more than a few investigations with the NCIS folks (sort of likt the Navy's version of the FBI) on unrelated stuff, most of them will not give a rats hiney if you have some ex military stuff UNLESS: somebody brags about it being stolen (not the case here), or it has some other obvious reason for not being in the civilian sector. You may have seen some discussion here about the "de-mil" bill. Some items have to be demilitarized before they are offered to the public. If you have any doubt, contact the nearest military base and ask for the JAG officer, describe the item in detail and go from there. Or post it here and I will ask the JAG on our base.
