If you can find forged pistons for your 230, you can about double the time between overhauls. The cast pistons pound out the piston ring grooves easier and need overhauling more often. Unfortunately, I don't know of a source for forged pistons for 230's. I believe that if you keep the rev's below 2500 and change oil often, you should be able to get 50,000 to 60,000 miles before needing an overhaul. Driving and maintenance habits are the big unknown here.
