actually, the 6v53 was the worst for me had one in a 1965 ford 9000 4x4 ex nevada dot plow truck that i drove on donner for years wth a holmes 600 wrecker, it would rattle the pan bolts loose every couple days! my 3-53 3cyl is in a 1944 allis chalmers HD7 dozer, under full load it is quieter than my buick regal! it has straight exhaust too...no muffler!
