cant pull engine without pulling floor up and pulling tranny anyway. easier to jut pull tranny. easy on these trucks since you can do almost the whole job from the top. It sounds like your throw out bearing failed in a big way. might not need clutch. if it is the throw out bearing measure the thickness of the clutch disk. can be done in truck. then look up spec for minimum thickness. no need to replace if still good.
