Remember that the removal of the steering box/pitman arm is not an 'absolute'. As long as the steering wheel is not attached, I get at the bulkhead, my son holds the rear, and I have a helper on each side of the cab to slowly drop it in place and make adjustments. I don't think its worth the time and energy of removing the steering box- unless you need to place new seals in it...
