Bench seat width?

Gents, my 53 PW does not have a bench seat, and I would like to survey the local Craigslist offerings for a suitable substitute. May I ask what the max width is for the bench and the backrest that will fit? Seems like any seat from a 40's or 50's closed-cab truck may work?
