Recently I have been having a lot of front axle noise while driving and under power especially noticeable when in 4th gear. I went under the truck and noticed the front driveshaft rotates freely about 15 degrees or so. That’s an estimate. Might be 10-15 degrees. The rear driveshaft has no rotational play compared to the front. Is there any adjustments I can do to make the rattling in the front axle go away. I know there’s adjustment on the gear lashing on the diff. I should probably read into my manual but know there’s a lot of first hand experience here. I just want to make sure I am on the right track !
After 6 years of wanting to take my truck to Carlisle for the Chrysler Nationals I am finally planning on going this year and just want to tidy some odds and ends like mentioned in this post. Thanks folks
