for sound deadener use Peal-n-Seal that roofers use basically the same thing for 1/3-1/4 the price, and it comes in 4" wide rolls or up to 3' wide rolls
I had a set of new floor pans where the diamonds were pressed in wrong direction, put the P-n-S on one side then a properly stamped set with P-n-S as well sandwiched between both, heat and noise reduced immensely
