1942 GMC the “Jimmy” CCKW 353 2 1/2 ton 6x6 Deuce and a Half truck.
270 6 cylinder 91.5 hp. Max speed is 45-50mph.
Truck has 36,957 original miles on it, runs like a sewing machine.
Built from 1941-45. Limited number built with the dual spare and short bed with a winch on the front.
Used on the Red Ball Express in the war. The dual spares were put on front end making it easier to go through mud and snow when tracks were put on the 4 tires on front, and 8 tires on the back.
12 brand new tires with tubes and flaps.
It comes with a Pioneer rack, and all the tools. It has a nice arctic top, and all the wood in bed is original and looks really nice. No rust on this truck what so ever. Gauges all work, radiator has been cleaned, all new belts and hoses, new 6 volt generator, 6 volt Orbit battery. All new wiring made just like the original. The seat is original, and it has back window screen. Convoy running lights, black out lights and regular lights all work.
