it sounds to me that you need a little himming, start with 6 paper gaskets, you should be able to feel a little play in the output shaft with the pto engaged in the wind position with engine off, you can mic the gear teeth to pto case macined surface (tip if tooth) then mic from inside of tooth to on trans input gear to trans case to establis point of mesh, then you can figure amount needed plus 2 extra paper gaskets, remember they will compress when mounting bolts are tightened, a little extra play in mesh is way bettr than too tight of mesh, you can buy metal spacers of various thickness at any truck supply, ive been doing them by ear/feel for 40 years with no adverse results...good luck
