Sounds like dirt clogging a jet or a port somewhere, possibly the main jet. It might need a complete cleaning. But...
We had something like that once on an M37. Ran great when cold, then ran terrible once it warmed up. Gave us fits for weeks. Turned out the carb was loose on the intake manifold, creating a vacuum leak once it warmed up. Lesson: Always check the simple stuff first.
