On my 8.6 Meyer I have only one chain attachment at the very end of the arm with the Pump ram between the chain end and the other end(pivot.
I'm not familiar with two atch. points.

To me out on the end, will result in higher lift,
And more stress on the arm compared to lower height and less force need when closer to the ram or pivot.
