I put around 100 k on my last WC52 and it ran like new when I sold it. great oil pressure. pulled head I think twice in that time. burnt head gasket when i had been running a bunch of old varnish fuel we had been removing from vintage cars that sat for years. I would mix it in with fresh. flatheads will burn almost anything. pre WW2 octane was 70 or less. But, after months of doing that on and off it burnt the head gasket between 2 cylinders. I pulled it another time or two to clan carbon build up off everything. thats the key to getting endless miles out of flatheads of any kind. The bottom end is of superior material than most things since the 60s. forged crank, good oiling system no reason it wont go for many years. with good maintenance. will easily outlast a subaru engine.
