I welded nuts to the inside of the top panel and made a small notch in the front brace to get a wrench in.
To remove the top panel all I have to do is pull the grill and use a wrench on the front bolts.
To get at the rear bolts I use a long extension to slide up inside the double walled panel.
Takes 15 minutes max to pull the cap off with hand tools.. You can not see these mods and the front looks stock.
Super glad I made this mod - I have had to get access to the rad several times - it can be pulled in 20 minutes and less if I feel motivated and I use power tools.
