View the last photo with the info just before the Video Gallery. The shocks appear to me to be Monroe #66707, which I used on my WDX.
Note the length of the left lower shock bracket bolt / stud which keeps the shock hanging at 90 degrees and in 1 1/2" from the frame rail. The right lower shock bracket bolt / stud is 1 1/2" shorter on account of the differential. To keep the end barrels of the shock horizontal with the bed of the truck I gave my right shock a 1 1/2" offset by cutting, bending and re-welding the shafts beside the end barrels. As these shocks have not been painted, I am now wondering if there is actually enough give in the end barrel rubber inserts to get them mounted, and if so will that be a problem down the road? Or am I just being to fussy? JJB.
