Very well put Keith! The problem is exactly how you stated it. The infrastructure needs to be in place before we can have large scale electric vehicle operation. Your other point about the Tesla owner not looking beyond the plug is spot on. Prius owners were the same way-they failed to understand that the mining of the materials used to build the car was creating more pollution than the car would have if it had an internal combustion engine in it.
