Yep I still have mine. I like shakes, but they do have some negatives. For me, my roof gets so much fir needle debris and fir cones I need to clean it often. It’s not great to walk on a shake roof especially when they are dry as you can split them. I did like the shakes as they had a lot less moss than my composite shingles.
But what ever roofing I have the valleys just plain get filled with debris all the time which needs to be cleared or the water will backup under the shingles.
