So the politician who wrote this thing claims that to save gas, the government should buy somebody's 1986 Honda Civic that gets 35 mpg (I had one and it did), so they can "upgrade" to a new "efficient" car like a 15 mpg SUV. This smells like nothing but one more attempted subsidy for the big auto companies. Somebody's got too much time on his hands or too much lobbyist's money in his pockets. Like the man said, no man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session. And now they're continually in session.
