I have not kept a written list, but I have seen and/or heard of the existance of: about 20 to 25 original factory rear PTO setups (clear to the back crossmember), about 10 to 15 Dodge belt pulleys that bolt onto the rear PTO pillow block, about 10 of the original King-Seeley/Pierce mechanical engine governors that were used in conjunction with the rear PTO and belt pulley, and 3 of the cast PTO covers that bolt in place of the belt pulley and provide protection to the splined shaft when the pulley is removed from the truck. I have also seen about a dozen other trucks that had been equipped, at one time earlier in their life, with one or more of the above options. (With remaining brackets, drilled holes, and/or obvious marks where this equipment had been mounted on the truck providing the evidence.)

There seems to have been a fairly good number of these trucks that came equipped with these options. A lot of this equipment was removed from the trucks sometime during their life. A classic example is the Mechanical Engine Governor. These typically wore out and were the first thing removed from the trucks as engine service was performed. Many were not reinstalled and now rest who-knows-where. There could be some of this equipment still found lying under the workbench or back in a corner of a machine shed of a previous Power Wagon owner. Every now and then, I find a piece for sale at a flea market that was purchased by one of those scroungers who typically buy up all of the stuff at farm auctions that no one else wants. They usually do not know what they have but know that it is probably worth something to someone.

Fred Coldwell was, at one time, compiling a list of known rear PTO related parts and trucks. Fred?
