Long story... so here's the unembelished short one. I traded for a '53 (I believe that's the correct year) back in 1978 from a gent how said it originally came from the late Roy Roger's ranch in Apple Valley, California. Since it was without engine, I intended to "slant 6" it, but the tape measure and front axle determined otherwise. A half day and a tape measure in the local salvage yard led me to a 1968 Olds 455 and matching Turbo 400 trans. Believe it or not, I managed to shoe-horned that big block into the PW's tiny bay WITHOUT laying torch or hammer to ANY sheet metal. I babied that beast for over two years but still managed to eat both ring and pinions which ment it remained parked because I couldn't locate parts. This was in Missoula, Montana about 1980. A vintagge car collector saw it and I needed the cash, so we parted ways. It originally had a utility box (telephone linesman truck), but i sold it without. Has anybody seen it? Please let me know.
