Okay... its time I came clean. Since purchase, and not having driven my truck that much in the three or four months since purchase (pieceing it back together from the former owner) I could barely turn my truck to the left. Steering was a work out (from a former Powerlifting champ). My shoulders were shot after driving my ’48 Flat fender around. I called Judd to ask him to test drive it and see if he could tell if something was bent, binding, or needed replacing. Well, I called Judd ‘cause he knows these trucks. Knows them well. I don’t. I don’t even know the four-wheel drive set up yet. So, in true professional form, it took Judd about 6 feet of driving and about 2.4 seconds for him to lean out the window and yell, “You’re in 4 low, Dana!”

Okay. In my defense, there are no plates on the dash telling me what goes where... I know now!! But with all the talk about hard steering, it was beyond hard! Ultra-hard! I looked for ways to go around the block to the right so I didn’t even have to attempt turning left. I asked a week or so ago if anyone had any knowledge of my truck since Judd thinks someone in the past may have re-geared the rear end, but not the front end, making four wheel drive even more enjoyable to steer! 100% better now, but still not for the meek! Doubt my beloved wife will ever hop in for a spin around the block. Serious consideration for one of the power steering kits…

Sheepishly chagrinned,
Dana
