Hi Manny, I loved my ramcharger. The only advice I can give is if you’re looking for such a vehicle, you need to build it. There’s just so many guys out there doing these conversions & for every good one you see, there’s 10 real pieces of crap where a guy just took a worn out first Gen & dropped the worn out components into something that used to work good. Like an 80’s Dodge crew cab that’s been properly converted to 12v is a fantastic choice...but you won’t likely find a good one under $40k as that’s the in thing right now & a good one is just so rare. My Ramcharger...it was really cool but if anyone ever builds one of these I can’t stress enough putting a ton of floor & firewall insulation. Those trucks just have a metal roof inside. No headliner & boy...that truck you pretty much needed ear plugs & I’m the guy who drives first gens & thinks they’re quiet :) It was unbearable with the roof on.
I’ll keep an eye out for something I think you’d like but it’s a hot commodity right now.
I just bought a 2021 Duramax. It’s my 3rd one...never had a problem in 500,000 miles but this one with 10,000 miles I went to start it the other day...every check engine light came on. Went into limp mode & I had to drive it at 5mph to the dealer. You could turn it off but it wouldn’t go into park so the ignition wouldn’t go off. So they just let the battery go dead! The next day they put a charger on it & there’s nothing wrong. That’s how they fix em now. So they’ve given it back to me & we’ll wait for it to happen again.
I hate computers too :)
