1950 Dodge Power Wagon
VIN: 83921140

Price: $45,000 or best offer
Location: Byhalia, MS

I purchased this truck over 7 years ago from California. It was a rolling frame with a cab when I purchased it. I regret having to sell this project but family matters are more important at this time. If you are looking for an unmolested, original truck, now is the time to turn away!

The truck was stripped down to the frame and glass bead blasted and painted in Raptor-liner 2 part urethane bed liner paint. The springs are new and the 5:83 differentials have been rebuilt as well as all of the axle internal parts. The brakes have been converted over to 4 wheel power disc brakes. All suspension components have been powder coated.

The powertrain was missing when purchased, so the engine was replaced with a rebuilt Detroit 3-53T engine. For those unfamiliar, do some homework. This is a 3 cylinder, 2 stroke, turbo charged diesel with a blower as well. It sounds really unique to say the least. The transmission is an early Dodge NV4500 5 speed with an NP241 transfer case. The truck is equipped with hydroboost brakes and power steering. The radiator was recored and the truck runs and drives. The transmission has not been rebuilt, and needs it. It does not like to shift into 3rd gear. I haven’t had a chance to do that yet.

The MU2 winch has been rebuilt already.

The mechanical portion of the work is pretty close to complete, with the exception of the transmission. I would go through the transfer case as well.

The rear fenders, tailgate, rear bed panel, and running boards are new. The front fenders are original and solid. The bedsides came from VPW and are solid. All of the sheetmetal has been completely stripped with glass bead and coated in etch primer. The truck needs extensive body work, but there is nothing hidden and no body rot. The doors are there, but are junk in my opinion. They need more work than they are worth but I haven’t had time to find decent replacements. Original combat rims have Michelin 11.00 x 16 XL tires on them

The truck has a new poly fuel tank, fuel pump and diesel filters. Dual batteries mounted in the frame rails and enough wiring to run the truck. I have not made a wiring harness or done anything with the interior. This is a project truck, that has had a good start to it. I hate to sell it, but life happens.

I recommend coming to take a look at the truck in person if you can. E-mail is the best method of communication for me because I work crazy hours. I have a clear title in hand for the truck.
