it appears to be an early 1941 military wc-14 1/2 ton Dodge 4x4 cargo truck, if the gages are civillian style and the bed has the closed tie down loops and no holes for seats or brackets...a nice clean looking truck! not sure how many were issued to the Navy and I doubt any were assigned to the Midway, usually ship assigned vehicles were Jeeps...It's nice to see one in haze grey paint tho!
