I'd switch them if the trailer is used often and the lights are not in a place where they will be damaged. i use cheapies on our trailers boats - we break the fixtures from time to time. we use leds on our tractor trailers to avoid the tickets from burned out bulbs. you have many individual leds that can burn out before you have to replace. unsure of your project, but if you are working on an old car or truck, led bulbs don't draw enough power to trip the flasher. you would need to factor in a led flasher or keep an incandescent bulb in your circuit somewhere.
