They always have to be in front of you. I am really careful around lane merges. I make sure that I am over in the continuing lane before the merging lane ends, if not someone will pass me last second and I would end up off the road. So many have tried to pass me on the right and sometimes they find a guardrail in front of them. That’s when I say remember that I have a trailer behind me. I will not risk my life just because you want to be in front of me.
One time a guy passed me in my truck and camper on the right basically after the right lane ended and barely made it as he used the unpaved shoulder. After he did that he proceeded to travel 55 on the straight road and slowed down to 40 in every curve. I travel that two lane road all the time with my truck and camper or towing my 5th wheel. There is only 1 curve that can’t be taken safely at 60 mph which is the speed limit. After being caught behind this guy for a while, I pulled out in a passing zone and went past him so quickly he didn’t even see it happen but I bet he heard the Diesel working. I continued on at 60 and never saw him again.
I find that so many drivers can’t drive a two lane highway and definitely don’t know how to pass on a two lane road and will get pissed if you pass them.
