Generally, the 4-wire requires the addition of front and rear signal buckets aside from the front parking lights and the rear taillights.
Some of the 7 wire types will add the turn signal feature to your parking lights (while still retaining the parking light feature) and will convert your brake lights into dual function brake and turn signals.
