I'm not concerned so much with how they look..and I discovered for myself the increased braking power on my daily driver, when going from a 195-70-14 down to something like a 175-65-14. Less peddle effort, and more braking effect especially on the interstate.
I won't be on the interstate with my truck, but if, "small" radials will work on the wheels, it would be great way to make 4th gear more useful uphill, and if the truck stops a bit better when loaded, I would consider that a win.
If the modern radial can't be used on these wheels, I will go looking for a 7.50-16 which should do the same thing, but radials might be kinda nice from a ride quality standpoint.
Interested to hear your thoughts.
