I'm tearing int the 58 pw. Discover that the alternator is believed to be a Delco Remy 2098830 that is not functioning. Read an article about using a newer type. Most of the wiring was fried prior to my purchase so having to trace/repair all of it in the near future.Consulted the PIF but wondering if it's wise to get a newer alternator for the 6 cylinder. Direction and help appreciated.
