Wow! What a huge loss!
My words will echo what others have already said. I never met Bob in person, but spoke with him a number of times over a period of at least 25 the years, and he sold me a few things and rebuilt the rear differential in my '49 Power Wagon. It was always uplifting to talk to him. I always thought it would be good to find another reason to do business with him, if only to talk with him and to experience the joy of dealing with someone who incorporated honesty and integrity into his work.
This makes me sad.
