Mineral oil, like old lamp oil, or today's baby oil a highly refined petroleum product, byproduct of gas, now I'm wondering if Vaseline rubbed in like a paste wax would do good as well.
Think I will try it on an old door or tailgate before it gets cold to see how it works
Mineral Spirits will remove paint
