National# 480991 is the new seal number along with CR 14864. The reason it is thinner than the original is that it is a neoprene seal and not leather, a different design, and that is why it must be driven in with the bushing to avoid damaging it.

I'm not sure where you got the 410451 number, I can't find it in the PIF, and I normally do not list seals or bearings unless they are a rare part. Greg Coffin's "Dodge Power Wagon Power Train Survival Manual" lists new seals and bearing numbers along with Phil's site, so I stay away from listing them.

The "Code" number you listed is not the part number, the part number is 924432 and you would use this number to interchange to the new oil seal number. See link to NAPA part. You can still get leather, but it would have be a NOS Military part.
