Up above both front cab mounts are rectangular holes. These holes allow water, dirt, and mud thrown by the tires, into the kick panel area. If you have the kick panels off, check between where they mount and outside cowl skin, you will probably have dirt in there that needs cleaned out. I had that in mine, I cleaned it out and sprayed a heavy coat of Rustoleum 7769. I also plugged the holes using a foam filler, then rubberized coating to prevent water and dirt from entering - see image, you might want to do the same or it will eventually rust out the cab mount areas.
