I have never clicked on that link before and am grateful that you pointed it out to me.

As for that hinge pin removal, consider me the first for that to fail.

I tried the exact same thing except I used a massive 85lb bench vise with a long pole for leverage on the vise handle. I put a torch on the door side of the hinge around the pin as well. I had so much force on it that I shielded the entire vise and hinge with heavy metal to make sure my bolt didn't shoot out and castrate me.

The hinge is currently at a machine shop that failed on their first attempt to press the pin out as well. If they are unable to press it out a second time, I will have the hinge sand blasted so I can inspect it to make sure there isn't a spot weld on it somewhere.

Other than that, I plan to thermal cycle it a few times by throwing it on my BBQ or in my fire place a couple nights then soak it in penetrating oil before trying to press it out again.
