I can’t tell from your pictures of the front loop spreading if the bushing is bronze or plastic. It should be bronze and the spring should wrap tightly around the bushing. Also where are the grease zerks for the front bushing. You need them or the bronze will wear quickly.

The springs appear to be made of too thin of leaves. I also suspect that they were made out of spring leaves that have insufficient spring rate. Ie they are deflecting too much.

I check the springs on my trucks and both are built with the top most leaf going full length and have eyes for the bushings. I am not sure what they were trying to do with the shorter top spring that they made for you. I have read that there was a 3 piece spring leaf on earlier PWs but never have seen a picture. Clint Dixon on this forum discussed it at one time so you might contact him.
