No, Caterpillar has used SAE 10 Hydraulic oil for the 18 plus years I've worked for Caterpillar. 30 ND weight can work, it doesn't have the additives of typical hydraulic oil. 10 W is better in the cold, especially in small systems. I personally like the Caterpillar oil, for obvious reasons, they use a lot of zinc.
