run the 251 with 430s and stock tires, why make the flathead scream.....they don't like it high rpms are the enemy with old designed flatheads. It is easier to make the trucks slower than faster, so if u feel u are going to fast with taller gears just let off the throttle. At least u have the option. With 5.83 your stuck at 45 50 forever
