Agreed. That’s what I do & infact just last weekend I tore the top end off a 2 stroke motorcycle that I bought. I was told the top end was seized. I pulled the cylinder...not seized...bottom end seized solid. I bought it off a fellow I know through racing & trust. He said it ran when it came in his garage but sat for 3 or 4 years...now it’s stuck.
So I could see gas in the bottom end. I tipped the whole bike over & dumped the gas out. Engine wouldn’t budge with the kick starter so I filled it with diesel to the top. That was last Sunday. Yesterday I walked in & pushed the kick starter...it turned about 90 degrees. I moved the flywheels back & forth & within 5 minutes the bottom end turns over like butter. I left the diesel in & I figure I’ll dump it next weekend.
Not sure how it will hold up since these have ball bearings in the bottom...time will tell but I guarantee it will start.
It’s the best thing I’ve ever used on stuck engines. Auto tranny fluid works descent too but I prefer diesel.
