Yes, my wife Freda and I, do have one of those old long box telephones that I picked up in the later 60's.
I grew up on a farm with my parents and 10 siblings here in Eastern Ontario, so I am quite familiar with the rural life and the party line.
It is over 50 years since I have pitched firewood blocks off the end of one of those old buzz saws.
This is probably a familiar line but I remember hearing it repeated more than once back years ago. If one of the local young unmarried girls some how got pregnant, of course the question was, well who was responsible for that? One of the local oldtimers would say, well from what I hear about that girl, It would be like sticking your finger into a rotating buzz saw, and then later looking at the blade wondering which tooth actually cut your finger off.
