I have been running a Carter M6270 on my 70 340 motor for many years. But, you should note that it delivers a little higher fuel pressure than stock and the inlet and outlet are 1/4 NPT. However, adapters from 1/4 NPT to barbed fitting or AN fitting are easy to find. And, in my setup, I run a vapor separator fuel filter in front of the motor, away from the the heat above the intake manifold. The vapor separator filter that I found has a 3/8 inlet and outlet and a 1/4 return line. It helps avoid vapor lock and bleeds off about 1 psi of pressure, which brings it close to the stock pressure.
