Just think of all of the tires sizes that used to be very popular and easily available.

I think I have these in the right order: First to become extinct - the 18" rim, then the old 17" rim. The 19.5, then the 17.5. Then the 16 inch rim disappeared. The 16.5 rims were VERY popular for a long time, until they became the next casualty.

How soon before the "new" 17" size is obsolete?
